As a commissioner I acquired, commissioned, curated and created two distinct programme strands for the launch of the channel. There was"Raw", a multi-genre, youth skewing nightly programming block. In contrast, "Platform8" was a weekly one hour documentary slot featuring films from first-time directors.
During my tenure I gave TV debuts to a host of diverse talent, from YouTubers like MusicalBethan and DntJealousMe, to online drama series like Brothers With No Game, to new production companies like Big Deal Films and exciting directorial talent such as Sebastian Thiel. Many of the on and off-screen talent I nurtured at London Live have since won mainstream TV commissions in the UK and US.
